Leadership of the kind Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose showed does not belong to a single decade. The Calcutta Watch Company Tribute Series was built around that idea: a wristwatch that carries a portrait worth looking at several times a day, made to a standard that lets you actually wear it every day.

This is the leather-strap reference of the series — a white dial in a 43 mm stainless steel case, on a tan crocodile-grain genuine leather strap chosen to warm the dial rather than compete with it. Every watch is assembled and finished in Kolkata and leaves in a branded presentation box with a stamped warranty card.

Product Specification

The Dial

A 38 mm white dial carries Netaji’s portrait at the six o’clock side, printed in fine halftone so the detail survives at wrist distance. Bengali numerals mark the quarters, a facsimile of his signature sits below the centre, and applied baton indices run the rest of the way around. Hour and minute hands are polished and faceted; a slim sweep second hand keeps the dial alive.

Case, Glass & Movement

The 43 mm case is machined from 316-grade stainless steel, brushed on the flanks and polished on the bezel, with a screwed case back and a knurled crown at three o’clock. At 11 mm it clears a shirt cuff.

Inside is a Japanese MIYOTA 2035 quartz calibre — the movement you choose when the point is that the owner stops thinking about accuracy. Expected variation is around ±20 seconds a month and battery life is approximately 36 months. The crystal is mineral glass and the case is sealed to 3 ATM.

The Strap

A 22 mm genuine leather strap in brown, embossed with edge-stitched to match, closing on a steel tang buckle. It is supple enough to wear from the first day and takes on the shape of the wrist rather than resisting it. Standard 22 mm spring bars mean the strap can be changed at home or at our counter.

Warranty & Service

Every Tribute Series watch carries a 12-month manufacturer warranty against manufacturing defects, valid on production of the stamped warranty card. Beyond the warranty period we hold service parts and offer paid service support for up to 15 years from the date of purchase.

Care Instructions

3 ATM water resistance is rated for rain and hand-washing; it is not intended for swimming, showering or diving.

• Wipe the case with a soft dry cloth after wear.
• Keep the leather strap away from prolonged water, perfume and solvents; let it dry naturally if it does get wet.
• Store the watch away from magnets, and away from direct sunlight for long periods.
• Have the battery changed at an authorised service point so the case seal is reseated correctly.
